11. Materials

Materials are properties of surfaces and define the way in which a model will react if it is touching or penetration a surface during the simulation. Accurate definition and correct assignment of materials are quite important in order to create a realistic simulation effect.

The materials are managed on the Material tab in the Scenery data window:

When creating a new project, there are 27 predefined materials available. You can define further materials by duplicating an existing one and by modifying the parameters of the new material according to your requirements.

With the functions Export material ... and Import material ... you can also export the selected material as a text file and import it into another project later on, if required.
