9. Simulation edges

Simulation edges are surface edges which are used to perform a particularly complex and cpu-intensive collision calculation. For instance, if a helicopters should slip realistically with its skids over a table edge, you need to define the table edges as simulation edges.

Simulation edges are defined on the Surfaces tab in the Scenery data window:

To do so, click on Define edges and then on the starting or end points of the simulation edges one after another. Finish the action by pressing the <ESC> key or by clicking again on the Define edges button.

Since the simulation of simulation edges requires lots of cpu capacity, they should only be defined in the nearer surroundings of the pilots postion.
